Welcome Home
It has been a whirlwind week for me as the final 2017/18 World Cup event was cancelled due to bad weather. The build up to this final race was big, following some success at the olympics and the double World Cup in Sunny Valley Russia.
With WC Finals in Megeve, France being cancelled, I have finished the 2017/18 season ranked 10th in the world. I would have loved to race in Megeve and to improve my ranking and results further, but mother nature decided otherwise.
After a fun party in France with the Ski Cross family, I was put on a plane by Shawn and Danny and began the journey back to Sydney. I was met by my husband at Sydney airport and not 30 hours later, back on a plane to Melbourne for the Offical Australian Olympic Team Welclme Home Ceremony.
It was a pleasure to spend the day with some of my team mates who I had not seen since Korea. I also got to share the day with my Mum, who journeyed from Guthega for the day.
Now, I am back in Sydney where after a little rest (and a reset of my body clock) I will begin training for the 2018/19 season. I will be doing some public speaking and other engagements, sharing my ongoing athletic story. If you are interested in having me along for an appearance, email ryan@bluechiptalent.com.au
